Founded in 2005 by brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet, Domaine Bachelet-Monnot has quickly ascended to the upper echelon of Côte de Beaune producers. Based in Dezize-lès-Maranges, the estate farms around 23 hectares across Maranges, Santenay, and Puligny-Montrachet, combining inherited family vineyards with newly acquired parcels of exceptional terroir.

The brothers’ philosophy is rooted in precision and respect for nature. Vineyards are cultivated organically, with strict yield control and manual harvesting to ensure optimal ripeness. In the cellar, fermentations are spontaneous, new oak use is restrained, and bâtonnage is minimal to preserve clarity.

Their wines, whether Chardonnay or Pinot Noir, are known for their energy, texture, and purity. The whites — particularly the Puligny-Montrachet “Les Folatières” and Meursault “Clos du Cromin” — are mineral and finely etched. The reds from Maranges and Santenay reveal an impressive balance of fruit depth and savory structure.
