Simon Colin represents the latest generation of one of Chassagne-Montrachet’s most respected wine families. After working alongside his father Marc Colin and brother Joseph, Simon established his own domaine in 2017, farming a little over six hectares across Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, and Santenay.
From the outset, Simon’s vision has been to craft wines that reflect clarity, energy, and a true sense of place. He farms organically, hand-harvesting at optimal ripeness to maintain natural acidity and balance. In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous, bâtonnage is limited, and oak use is carefully moderated — typically around 20% new barrels.
His Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Crus “Les Chaumées” and “En Remilly” have already drawn praise for their crystalline texture and salinity. The wines exhibit luminous fruit, fine structure, and a purity that signals both youthful confidence and classical roots.
Simon Colin’s domaine may be young, but it embodies a fresh, precise aesthetic that is rapidly earning international recognition. For importers, his wines represent the dynamic energy of Burgundy’s next generation — thoughtful, terroir-conscious, and unmistakably authentic.
